Free App Brings Boxee Love to the iPad

DeviceGuru (1136715) writes "Boxee has finally released an iPad app. Although the free app lacks some bells and whistles, such as Boxee Box remote control capabilities, the initial version appears to be a winner. Boxee for iPad works with or without a Boxee Box, and is useful standalone since it's fully capable of playing a wide range of video content streamed from multiple sources, both local and remote, including videos queued up using Boxee's free Watch Later bookmarklet. You can also transfer video from the iPad app over to a running Boxee Box, where it instantly starts playing. One nagging question, though, is why Boxee hasn't created a full-blown version of its Boxee A/V streaming software that runs directly on the iPad. And why no Android app?"
