The problem with usign the quantum vacuum... (1)

Is that the vacuum is very barely energetic. The last time I looked for numbers on this it was so empty as to be measured in single digits of particles per cubic meter of space. Also, it seems that presence of matter discourages these quantum particles from forming. Ergo, the thruster described would not work. It's been a number of years since I looked into this, I could be wrong but I'm 99% sure this is a non-starter.
