GoDaddy appears to be offline

An anonymous reader writes "It appears that all of GoDaddy's sites are offline including large numbers of sites hosted by GoDaddy. Twitter is indicating anonymous is claiming responsibility.

Current DNS lookups for some hosted sites are failing and the main GoDaddy sites aren't able to be reached."

Don't worry, I'm certain some wired-on-Red-Bull 14-year-old in a cheap plastic movie mask will make some statement soon, bragging about why you should be happy about this, or else.

This actually started about 40 minutes prior to the OP. Calls to their support line are greeted with a busy signal.
