DavidGilbert99 writes "Reports from South Korea suggest Samsung will look to heat up its smartphone battle with Apple by releasing the Galaxy S4 next February, just nine months after the release of the Galaxy S3.

While the details of Samsung's plans have not been revealed officially, company executive and parts suppliers in South Korea have told The Korea Times that the Galaxy S4 will be launched at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013, which is traditionally held in late February.

The phone will have a 5in screen, LTE, and OLED display and use Samsung's own quad-core Exynos processor.

The battle between Apple and Samsung for domination of the global smartphone market is heating up, with the Galaxy S3 selling well and Apple's iPhone 5 reportedly having huge pre-order interest around the world.

Both sides are also involved in patent battles around the globe while all the time doing billions of dollars worth of business with each other."
