Voter films touchscreen machine switching votes

destinyland (578448) writes | about a year and a half ago

destinyland (578448) writes "A Pennsylvania voter claims his touchscreen voting machine kept switching his vote from Obama to Romney. The software developer filmed the suspicious behavior with his cellphone, and posted the video to YouTube. And a North Carolina newspaper is reporting that voting machines in North Carolina are also switching votes, this time from Mitt Romney to Barack Obama. America seems to be realizing the technical issues with touchscreen voting, with problems being heavily publicized on the Drudge Report site, and George Takei just shared a link to the Pennsylvania's video with his 2.9 million followers on Facebook."

Poll-worker responds "Everything will be OK" (1)

destinyland (578448) | about a year and a half ago | (#41898129)

"I initially selected Obama but Romney was highlighted. I assumed it was being picky so I deselected Romney and tried Obama again, this time more carefully, and still got Romney..." the Pennsylvanian reports. All other buttons worked fine... I then called over a volunteer to have a look at it. She him hawed for a bit then calmly said 'It's nothing to worry about, everything will be OK,' and went back to what she was doing."
