The idea of bankruptcy comes from the fact that you owe creditors money and cannot pay so you wish to receive protection from these creditors courtesy of the federal government.

To stop creditors harassment. You need copy of bankruptcy records to show creditors and to prove that your bankruptcy is finished. Bankruptcy records, discharge papers, dismissal papers, or final decree copies are often needed when applying for a loan, renting an apartment, or when you apply for a new job.

You need Copy of Complete file, Creditor Schedules and Order : Most often needed when trying to get a mortgage, conducting credit repair, and stopping harassing phone calls from debt collectors. Includes Federal bankruptcy schedules D,E, & F (list of creditors), your discharge papers, and the voluntary petition.

The complete bankruptcy file includes includes the Voluntary Petition, all Schedules, Reaffirmation Agreements, the Discharge, and any other documents available on record. Often necessary when trying to get VA, FHA, or SBA loans."
