yourdaddy writes "on or about Nov 13 2012 HostPapa in Canada, and NetRegistry in Australia fell victim to hackers who took advantage of an exploit in C-Panel which allowed them to traverse the system to other accounts, and resetting their .htaccess and other files leaving a large number of websites hosted with these companies rendering only "hacked by hacker" on their index pages. Both companies initially denied it was a server breach ,,, however NetRegistry has since come clean. HostPapa still blames Wordpress and denies there is a problem, to make matters worse they have told customers that they do NOT perform backups of customer sites (unless you pay a fee) and restoring these websites is the responsibility of the customer. would you move your hosting ???"
