Remote (140616) writes "I haven't been able to locate google.com for about an hour now, using 3 different providers (DNS error). Would that have anything to do with the taking down of many websites by the U.S. government today?"

Google.com is working for me and has been all day. A nslookup returns proper results. Which DNS servers are you using? What country are you in?
