Ubuntu 1

skade88 (1750548) writes "Everyone says the year of the Linux laptop will not happen unless a major hardware company gets behind it. We have nVidia pushing on the graphics card side. Valve pushing on the games side. Now we can add Dell to the list of high profile companies backing Linux in a big way. Ars Technica is reporting that Dell has released a new Ultrabook featuring Ubuntu. The laptop ships with either a Core i5 or Core i7 Ivy Bridge, 8GB of ram, 256 GB SATA III SSD. This puppy looks like a solid machine. Any other big IT players want to jump in the growing snowball that is the Linux Desktop Consumer market? This is exciting times for Linux!"
