KDE = community/group of people (1)

jrepin (667425) | about a year ago | (#42808731)

KDE is not a desktop anymore but a name of community or a group of people who create desktop and other software. So KDE can't be released and can't have a version number. It's KDE's software that gets released. And this is the release of version 4.10 of collection of KDE software which is called KDE Software Compilation. BTW next time it would be great if you could link to the original source of news: the official announcement: http://kde.org/announcements/4.10/ [kde.org]
