Does Marriott Censor Other Hotels Websites

Censorship 0

section321a (848754) writes "I travel frequently and usually stay at a Marriott property. Tonite I noticed that I could not access the Hilton Honors page on my iPad while on free wifi. I could access other sites, but not Hilton Honors. I switched to my laptop and the same result. I logged into my VPN connection and was instantly able to access the Hilton Honors website. I'm a loyal Marriott customer, but sometimes need to stay elsewhere. Is Marriott censoring me, or is Hilton blocking me? (I"m so confused) I don't appreciate being censored like this and will seriously rethink my hotel choice in the future. I'm glad its early in the year when I the change makes a difference to my frequent stayer status."
