Raspberry Pi Production Heads Back to Wales

hypnosec (2231454) writes "The largest distributor of the Raspberry Pi has revealed that the production of $35 credit card sized computer is moving back to Wales in a bid to cope up with the ever increasing demand of the educational computer in western countries. Production of the Raspberry Pi, which was carried out in two plants in China, has been moved to a factory owned by Sony in Penocoed, a Welsh town. Head of Raspberry Pi at Element14, Claire Doyle said that they are trying everything possible to keep up with the demands and to ensure that the supply chain is stocked at all times. Doyle further added that partnering with Sony will ensure the quality of the product and they are delighted about it."
