UK Government Establishes 'Fusion Cell' to Combat Cyber Attacks

DavidGilbert99 (2607235) writes | about a year ago

Government 0

DavidGilbert99 writes "It has all the elements of a Hollywood blockbuster. A secret bunker in central London. MI5 and MI6 secret agents. The countries biggest companies. Critical national infrastructure. A huge screen relaying live every cyber-attack threatening the integrity of the UK's national security. All it is missing is Bruce Willis.
The UK government's Fusion Cell is part of its on-going Cyber Security Strategy and will see intelligence agencies and private companies sharing information about cyber security threats, including attack methods, attack signatures and successful mitigation methods. All this will be done through a social network-like web portal described by one official as "like a secure Facebook.""
