redletterdave (2493036) writes "Throughout his 40-year career in show business, Academy Award winning animator Saul Bass worked alongside some of the most prominent filmmakers of his time, including Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock and Martin Scorcese, creating beautiful title sequences and iconic posters for more than 50 different films during his lifetime. Google's newest Doodle released Wednesday pays homage to Bass by borrowing his most well-known animated film sequences from such films as "Psycho" and "Spartacus," and cleverly injecting the Google brand name into one seamless 81-second clip."
