Lachlan Murdoch may succeed Rupert Murdoch as head of News Corp

Presto Vivace (882157) writes | about a year ago

Presto Vivace (882157) writes "Murdoch hints at Lachlan succession in secret recording

Rupert Murdoch told journalists at The Sun newspaper in Britain charged with bribing public officials that they should trust him and the future leadership of News Corporation, chief executive Robert Thomson and Mr Murdoch’s son Lachlan, to look after them if they went to jail.

Mr Murdoch’s comments were allegedly taped covertly by The Sun journalists and the tape obtained by investigative website ExaroNews, which published a full transcript.

Given that Lachlan Murdoch was an NDS director from 2002 to 2005, investors and regulators around the world might have a problem with that."
