ESA Summer of Code In Space Application Deadline

joelsherrill (132624) writes "August 8 is the deadline for students to apply to participate in the European Space Agency's Summer of Code In Space (http://sophia.estec.esa.int/socis2013/). This is a great opportunity to contribute to the use of free and open source software in the space community and get paid. Eligible students should look through the list of software projects participating (http://sophia.estec.esa.int/socis2013/?q=node/13) and see what interests them.

As the organization administrator for the RTEMS Project (http://www.rtems.org), I am honored to be participating again and can't wait to see what students propose."

AerospaceResearch.net Projects (1)

Andreas Hornig (3004839) | about a year ago | (#44454509)

Hello Everyone, as Joel said before, we're also so flattered that our small AerospaceResearch.net was selected for ESA SOCIS and we're eagerly looking forward for your great ideas and applications! You can be a student coding and proposing even their own ideas, or a mentor supporting the students coding. For Google Summer of Code 2013 this worked very well and the three ideas are presented in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wo1q-b0RHJg [youtube.com] So don't wait, just apply today! :) Andreas
