MacBook Takeover Exploited QuickTime Java Flaw

dab nam writes "The exploit of a MacBook Pro at the CanSecWest security conference was the result of a vulnerability in Apple's QuickTime code. Any Java-enabled browser is a viable attack vector, if QuickTime is installed (including Firefox on Windows). Also see this Q&A interview with the hacker who won the contest."
