Continuous Backup?

AjStone (743464) writes "My company uses a SonicWALL CDP appliance which I have fallen in love with. Unfortunately, this product line is insanely expensive. What is important though, is how well that company has created an application which runs in the background and continuously sends a copy of the "changed" data back to the appliance for safeguard. This is not a "bare-metal" backup (though it is possible), but instead a safeguard for documents, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. We use this appliance to have a to-the-second archive of your latest work so recovery will be instant if disaster strikes. What do you use for such a wonderful solution, if any? Have you heard of any products with a smaller pricetag?"
