Rudd-O writes "With so many companies finally realizing the potential of free software and open source, it's not surprising at all that some are failing miserably to engage free software communities effectively. I've attempted to summarize how best to approach free software communities and developers in seven principles. Since I know that a sizable portion of Slashdotters have at least a couple of experiences in the free software world, I'd like to enlist your help. Any Slashdotter feeling like adding to it or ripping it apart?"
