Erik J writes "(Fixed some errors in first submission) Remember about six weeks ago when Motley Crue and Rock Band partnered to release a new single premiering first in the game before anywhere else? Come to find out their song 'Saints of Los Angeles' was downloaded over 47,000 times beating out digital services iTunes and Amazon who only were only tapped 10,000 times for the single. I recently had a conversation about the very subject, pointing out that as compact discs die, and with online piracy rampant, artists will have to find other ways to distribute their music and subsequently earn their mega-money they so desperately want."
