Regular Exercise Not Enough To Make Up For Sitting All Day

3.5 stripes Re:Standing desks (348 comments)

It's actually pretty hard to overhydrate unless you are slamming down a couple of liters an hour, if you eat a balanced diet, you're not going to be peeing out much in the way of minerals, your body does a pretty good job of keeping them in balance.

That's assuming that you've only got one cause trying to kill you. When in fact, there are many competing causes.

NSA Hack of N. Korea Convinced Obama NK Was Behind Sony Hack

3.5 stripes Re:Stands to reason (181 comments)

First off, my point was that ad hominem is not a particularly good way of discrediting what a person says. Being anonymous does not make the poster I replied to more or less trustworthy, and the fact that McAfee has been accused of murder does not mean he cannot be trusted on this sort of matter.

Second, I think you're correct, trust is not established by your name, but by whether what you say has value and is verifiable.

Where Cellular Networks Don't Exist, People Are Building Their Own

3.5 stripes Re:what about spectrums rights? (104 comments)

In fact, human slavery and drugs are exactly the same thing, silly OP for not realizing that transporting small amounts of naturally occurring mostly inert substances is exactly the same as transporting human cargo for slavery, in fact I just saw some guy at the airport get stopped with three human slaves stuffed up his ass in a condom.

TLDR; you dumb.

Ars: Samsung Gear VR Is Today's Best Virtual Reality

I'm surrounded by VR stuff, and though the DK1s were kinda low rez, I find it hard to believe the DK2 or the new WXQGA AMOLED screens on the next gen are still too low rez?

Obama Unveils Plan To Bring About Faster Internet In the US

3.5 stripes Re:About time (417 comments)

The cost? You mean that every time a local community decides to foot the cost themselves, Comcast and co go get laws passed at the state level to stop the community from being able to build the network, because obviously they're just interested in the local community not overspending : /

Happy Public Domain Day: Works That Copyright Extension Stole From Us In 2015

3.5 stripes Re:And that's still too long (328 comments)

All you pro copyright posters seem to frame the argument in the same way "blah blah, jealous loser|thief|poor who has never created anything in their life".

I have not pirated anything in over 15 years (at least not intentionally) and I think this extension of copyright lark is absolute bullshit, and pushed primarily by corporate concerns. I don't think copyright is useless, it's just extremely broken, and you are completely unable to address any of the actual points.. you just keep resorting back to ad-hominem.

TL;DR ad hominem is no way to win an argument, your argument is weak, and you're probably a paid corporate shill.
