They HAD to do it. After all, there is no place in Russia cold enough for it to snow.

60% of Americans Unaware of Looming Incandescent Bulb Phase Out

Bohnanza Wish they'd phased them out in reverse (944 comments)

I can buy fluorescents and LEDs to replace 40 and 60 watt bulbs, but there is still no good replacement for the 100 watt bulb. The "100 watt equivalent" fluorescents are nowhere near as bright, and are so large that they don't properly fit in some fixtures.

Spinning Black Hole's Edge Rotates At Nearly the Speed of Light

Bohnanza Rotation speed limiting density? (227 comments)

TFA mentions a fact that I'd read about before, that the black hole's rate of rotation increases as it collapses due to the conservation of momentum. But since no matter can actually mover faster than the speed of light, is the collapse limited by this maximum rotation rate? Would the black hole cease collapsing when the rotation rate neared the speed of light?

Microsoft Blames PC Makers For Windows Failure

Bohnanza It's not just Windows "8" (913 comments)

"Windows" itself is rapidly becoming meaningless. In a decade or less MS operating systems will be used mainly by businesses and hobbyists. Touchpads and "The Cloud" are much more appealing to regular consumers who are really only interested in using the internet. And there is really no reason to use the MS offerings for these purposes.

Bohnanza Re:Shocker (270 comments)

Yes, a brand new project with little to no details, no actual work done so far, no actual design just a theory ...

While I agree that it could just be a scam, they actually claim to have a working prototype.

How the US Lost Out On iPhone Work

Bohnanza Re:So, to translate: (1303 comments)

Sure this is the best example. It illustrates that these are not employees, but slaves. I hope the US can never compete with that.
