BradMajors related: Teacher suspended for bring weapons (251 comments)

"An Illinois federal court has ruled that Chicago school officials did not violate the rights of a second-grade teacher who was charged with possessing weapons on school grounds after he displayed garden-variety tools such as wrenches, pliers and screwdrivers in his classroom as part of his second grade teaching curriculum that required a “tool discussion.”"

Exactly. Even though the administration said the science experiments were the reason for the suspension, it is likely the true reason was something else.

BradMajors volume (192 comments)

Their factory will only "drop battery costs dramatically" if it runs at full capacity. Its capacity is about 500,000 cars per year, while Telsa has only sold 25,000 cars in total.

BradMajors Re:I'm liking how Russia is standing up these days (234 comments)

And the US is not an ruled by an oligarchy?" http://www.scribd.com/doc/2184...

If you care to read the news it was Russia that was providing financial support to Ukraine, and when a pro-Russia government was democratically elected the United States overthrew the elected government through a coup and the use of US mercenaries.

California Utility May Replace IT Workers with H-1B Workers

BradMajors Re:Good luck with that (220 comments)

Yes. For a company that was really badly managed I have seen off-shoring chunks of work to India work. Basically because the Indian project management was better than the American project management.

BradMajors Re:Not H1-Bs, offshore workers. (220 comments)

1) The government does not bother to enforce this law.

How 'DevOps' Is Killing the Developer

BradMajors Re:Please... (226 comments)

Exactly. Most developers are incapable of producing code that anyone would ever want to use.

In multiple companies for which I have worked, it was known who was capable of producing code that could actually be shipped and who could not. Management highly valued those who were capable of producing shippable problem free code.

How 'DevOps' Is Killing the Developer

BradMajors Re:DevOps vs DevOps (226 comments)

The basic problem is developers are incapable and do not want to produce software that actually works and expect "lower level" people to fix their work.

MA Gov. Wants To Ban Non-Competes; Will It Matter?

BradMajors Re:How enforceable are they anyway? (97 comments)

When applying to another company they ask if you are subject to a non-compete agreement. If you answer "yes" you are less likely to be hired.

They don't have to hire a detective to find out where you work... they just need to check linkedin.
