How Can I Make Testing Software More Stimulating?

BunnyClaws Re:Too close to the subject... (396 comments)

Very true, but that would mean the company would have to employ a separate QA team. It seems many companies are too cheap for that.

The "Scientific Impotence" Excuse

BunnyClaws Re:Religion (892 comments)

It is any ideology that one refuses to be critical of, regardless of existing information that might prove their view to be false; Avowed Communists, Die Hard Free-Market Anarcho-Capitalists, Partisan Democrats and Republicans, the Apple fanboi, fans of the television show Lost, and you!

Seriously, everyone thinks they are a person of reason and logic without seeing their own personal bias.

Are Googlers Too Smart For Their Own Good?

BunnyClaws API is not a UI (307 comments)

Just a quick FYI, API does not mean UI. I noticed some of the slashdotters were conflating the two.

Pieces of employer-supplied clothing I own and wear:

BunnyClaws Vendor Swag (343 comments)

Now, I don't have any clothing from my company. However, I wear a ton of clothing provided by various vendors. Cisco, Oracle, Novell, McAfee, Checkpoint, and many others. I make it a point to shake down the vendors for free clothing. What can I say, I am cheap like that.

Cato Institute Critique of Software Patents

BunnyClaws Re:Cato !Free Market (242 comments)

By real supporters of the "free-market" do you mean the folks over at mises.org? I would say that the Cato institute lies within the realm of pragmatic Libertarianism. While they do not take an absolute stand with the An-Cap types over at mises.org they do present realistic free-market solutions within our current system.

I feel bad for the new players. Goldshire will need a sign that says "Warning: Death from above."

I remember something about that incident. I think there is a conspiracy theory surrounding that.

Wii Boosts Parkinson's Treatments

BunnyClaws Re:Misleading title? (122 comments)

How is it misleading, is there anything that actually treats Parkinsons as opposed to just the symptoms?

Wii Boosts Parkinson's Treatments

BunnyClaws Re:Preventitive Medicine? (122 comments)

I don't believe Parkinson's is related to a lack of exercise or a lack of anything that the Wii would provide. From what I understand they usually don't even know what causes the disease in the first place.

Let Big Brother Hawk Anti-Virus Software

BunnyClaws Re:Nope (405 comments)

It is amazing how well that works. I switched my in-laws to linux several years ago and haven't had to work on their system since. When they had Windows, I had to reload it every 3 months.

Researchers Show How To Take Control of Windows 7

BunnyClaws Re:Yes, why post this? (325 comments)

Ok, I understand where you are coming from now. When you said it decrypts, I understood it as Checkpoint relied on Windows authentication to execute the decryption. You are referring to bypassing the process completely, similar to the freezing memory hack. In that case you are correct. Which is a big reason why I would recommend not utilizing WIL.

Researchers Show How To Take Control of Windows 7

BunnyClaws Re:Yes, why post this? (325 comments)

How do you decrypt the disk with just Windows authentication? Even if WIL is enabled (which I don't recommend) you still have to provide 2 separate sets of checkpoint credentials to decrypt a hard disk with check point.

I am with you on this one. I never have been able to handle caffeine very well. It usually makes me too anxious to concentrate on the work on I am doing.

BunnyClaws (753889) writes "U.S. officials are expressing concern over a recent missle test in space where China shot down an old weather satellite. The missile was fired from a ground based ballistic missile. The missile successfully hit and destroyed the Chinese weather satellite 537 miles above the earth. The U.S. and other nations have expressed concerns about debris being left in orbit that could interfere with other satellites in orbit. The U.S. is questioning the motivation for this action taken by China. It seems that the U.S. has anticipated this action when it revised its national space policy last October by denying access to anyone to space who would pose a threat to U.S. space interests."
