The Daily Harassment of Women In the Game Industry

In my experience men generally don't like to take criticism constructive or otherwise. Whether or not it comes from a woman.

UN Report Finds NSA Mass Surveillance Likely Violated Human Rights

C0R1D4N Re: The U.N. Finds... (261 comments)

You would be hard pressed to find a sane man arguing any genocide is good. I spoke only that from an outsider's point of view that the only war we can truly claim moral high ground in is WW2. The revolution could have been easily dealt with peacefully and while during the civil war fighting to free the slaves was noble, conquering the south to do it was not and we robbed their people of self-determination

UN Report Finds NSA Mass Surveillance Likely Violated Human Rights

C0R1D4N Re: The U.N. Finds... (261 comments)

Become? Read your history. The federal govt was a force for good during a four year period 1942-45. Every other point in our history we have been bad guys. And even at our height of valor we nuked two cities.

Rand Paul and Silicon Valley's Shifting Political Climate

C0R1D4N Re: Gots to find more ways to avoid taxes (533 comments)

The states can define eligibility and require five years residency etc. Just like they do for in-state tuition etc.

I would be perfectly OK with an NHS, it just needs a constitutional amendment to set up. Even when the govt tries to do the right thing they do it the wrong way.

Rand Paul and Silicon Valley's Shifting Political Climate

C0R1D4N Re:Gots to find more ways to avoid taxes (533 comments)

It's almost like there's this sort of happy medium built into the system where the Federal government represents the small government that doesn't intrude while more local governments (States and Municipalities) which offer more representation to their constituents can serve the role of the larger government.

Marvel's New Thor Will Be a Woman

C0R1D4N Re: Another comic book gimmick (590 comments)

First off, I am a gay guy. I love seeing lgbt characters in comics and the hero genre (Heroes Rise is fantastic). I am unhappy with the way they are doing it though. These are gimmicks. There are non-gimmick inclusive characters. There are also a lot of gimmick ones.

Marvel's New Thor Will Be a Woman

C0R1D4N Re:Another comic book gimmick (590 comments)

The first one wouldn't have been a gimmick if she stuck around as Robin a few years. They are gimmicks because they are just to shake things up and sell more comics, they aren't being done as natural progressions of story.

Marvel's New Thor Will Be a Woman

C0R1D4N Another comic book gimmick (590 comments)

Just another comic book gimmick like female Robin, and gay minority Spiderman. Comic books can't go more than a few months without having to completely change everything around and "spice things up". Just try following a single title for more than two years.

Emails Show Feds Asking Florida Cops To Deceive Judges About Surveillance Tech

C0R1D4N Re:Why are all of you so naive ? (251 comments)

It's the job of NSA/CIA etc to be trying to do all this shit as much as possible and with as high a quality as possible. It's not their job to pay attention to the constitution or any of that. The failure is in the whole "checks and balances" aspect of our system not checking or balancing.

Cable Companies Duped Community Groups Into Fighting Net Neutrality

C0R1D4N Re:while we're bitching about cable companies.. (170 comments)

More popular stations help subsidize the cost of less popular more niche stations. Also, a la carte wouldn't help your bill; the pricing for a la carte would ensure that you are still paying as much or more than you are for bundled tv.
