Microsoft Won't Bring Back the Start Menu Until 2015

CTU Shame (516 comments)

It would have been nice to have an offical start menu back into Windows 8. Although I find myself hating windows 8.1 a lot less as I got forced to using it for college, even if I really only use it to get into a virtual box to get into Linux :P) Still it sucks as I found myself using the pin the the start menu a lot more to access programs tfor everyday use and so no start menu no way to get that in 8.1

Microsoft Announces Windows 8.1 With Bing To Sell Cheaper Devices

CTU So.... (124 comments)

install the browser of choice and this only means you got a copy of 8.1 that was a bit cheaper without any real difference? Gotcha, besides not like the majority of computer users are still using IE so in truth this would only matter to the small perce=nt of users who both don't download a different browser or know/care to change the default search engine.

$200 For a Bound Textbook That You Can't Keep?

CTU Re:I'm sorry but.... (252 comments)

I never said I use the book or even ready it. Sure its not the high road, but its a personal statement I would make, try to screw people over with telling people how they can and can't use a book they paid for then see people torrent it instead giving you nothing.Besides I have a condition called being lazy and might not really go through with it anyways so...

$200 For a Bound Textbook That You Can't Keep?

CTU I'm sorry but.... (252 comments)

The book had to have been lost in the mail, I know I sent it back out.

Well $200 for a book you can't keep, need to mail back (even if you get a digital version tho they can always revoke your rights to that as well) or I could torrent the book and save myself the headache and deny them the money...Screw it think I'll torrent that book even if I don't got the class I wanna do it just to spite them

Did the Ignition Key Just Die?

CTU Am I ready? (865 comments)

No I am not ready. There is something special about having a key to a car that can not be replaced. Besides I am not sure if this system is secure enough to be the replacement to having a good laser cut key

Industry-Wide Smartphone "Kill Switch" Closer To Reality

CTU Question (139 comments)

Any way to disable that feature? I am not to worried about phone theft myself mostly because I get the cheaper smart phones and not an iPhone or other really popular models. So how would I disable having my phone disabled remote because I just don't want that crap on my device.

Titanfall Dev Claims Xbox One Doesn't Need DX12 To Improve Performance

CTU The trolls shall say.... (117 comments)

Xbone just sucks compared to the PS4 so it is no wonder the system can't run the game well.

Well can't say I am upset with not having an xbone, if I really wanted this game, then I think PC would be better anyway with a decent video card at least :)

CTU Re:Poor poor bigot (1116 comments)

Please tell me that is sarcasm because if not then you really are a fool as marriage was around before religion (at least the ones around and practiced today) That and the government recognizes a marriage even if a non religious person preforms the ceremony

Typo Keyboard For iPhone Faces Sales Ban

CTU Re:Blackberry won... (205 comments)

Blackberry dose not or at least should not own the paten to a physical keyboard which is what this boils down to. Judges have struck down patens when a suit came up because it was given in error and somehow I feel that this should have been the case here.

Typo Keyboard For iPhone Faces Sales Ban

CTU Blackberry won... (205 comments)

...but we all lose. These bans do not in any way help consumers and should be laughed out of court. One thing to not steal tech from the people who invent it, but this is about ideas. Like banning people from making wheels because some comp owns the round shape patent

Web comic take-down? Maybe not.

CTU CTU writes  |  more than 3 years ago

CTU (1844100) writes "Apparently today the web comic General protection fault (http://www.gpf-comics.com) was sized by the US government, but since today is April fools day it might not be true. While checking another site known to be taken down by Homeland security (torrent-finder.com) it can be noticed that the file name for the image give the month and year it was taken down, while the GPF take-down notice did not have that."

The goverment really wants to take down web comics now?

CTU CTU writes  |  more than 3 years ago

The US government must have nothing better to do as the DoJ and ICE seized the domain of a web comic I read frequently. The comic if general protection fault (http://www.gpf-comics.com) As there was really no reason for this travesty I am left asking why?

or it could be a well done April fools joke...which is much more likly
