How Steam Revived a Dead Game

Enoxice Re:Worms! (234 comments)

Worms Armageddon is the pinnacle of Worms games by a wide margin. A huge community of players, mappers, soundpack makers, modders. Not to mention you can run your own private wormnet if you want.

But even after all these years of playing, I'm still only mediocre at rope-races.

Sci Fi Channel Becoming Less Geek-Centric "SyFy"

Enoxice Re:Goodbye Galactica, hello crappy reality shows! (798 comments)

Many of the movies they show (King of the Lost World, 100 Million BC, Revenge of Bloody Bill, Transmorphers, I Am Omega, and plenty others) are licensed from The Asylum, who specialize (and acknowledge they specialize) in bad movies and "mockbusters".

I happen to love the Asylum movies and Sci-Fi - erm, SyFy - Channel Original Movies, but I can understand how I'd be in the minority there.

Maybe I just grew up watching a few too many episodes of MST3k...

Please No, Not a Blade Runner Sequel

Enoxice Re:I'm not worried: I just don't give a fuck. (585 comments)

Oddly enough, I just watched BOTH those movies for the first time last night!

They are both very good, but I wish Primer explored the interactions between and motivations of Abe and Aaron (and their various incarnations) a little bit better.

I hear Time Crimes (a spanish movie) is pretty good, I'm going to seek it out tonight.

How NASA Will Bomb the Moon To Find Water

Enoxice Re:Bombing the Moon for water? (280 comments)

No need to worry about the Cat Women, though, they live inside a cave with its own atmosphere. They'll survive and repopulate the moon. And life will go on

Gwyrox (993945) writes "AOL is offering a new browser, presumably to replace the tired old self-contained AOL program. This new browser, called OpenRide, offers all the same functionality as AOL 9.0, but in a different manner; instead having multiple windows open for the Welcome Screen, buddy list, and browser windows, these are now contained in one window with four different frames. The frames automatically resize according to the one in focus, or can be manually adjusted. It looks like AOL is trying to bring itself into the current era, but personally I think it's too little too late."

Saul Williams to Release New Album as Digital Download

Enoxice Enoxice writes  |  more than 7 years ago Saul Williams, the New York-born artist best known for his unique mix of poetry and hip-hop, is following the example of more popular acts (most notably Radiohead) and releasing his new album, The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust, via the web for an optional payment. When you go to pre-order the album you are presented with two options: a $5 payment and a $0 payment. People who pay are able to choose between FLAC, 320k MP3, or 192k MP3. People who want it for free can only get 192k.

On his message board, Saul said that he "was very inspired by the recent Radiohead release and felt compelled, almost instantly, to follow [his] gut and expand on their concept."

The downloads will be available on Nov. 1st. And in stores early next year.

The album is produced by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.
