Optimal warship for combatting pirates at sea

Geminus Are you kidding me? (2 comments)

The thickness of the steel most modern warships use is plenty thick enough. Most modern ships also have a Sea Whiz gun (20mm Gatling gun) that fires 4,000 - 6,000 rounds per minute and can zero in on a cruise missile! Those pirates wouldn't stand a chance against a frigate or a destroyer. Its like them bringing a water balloon to a nuclear war fight.

SCO Files Chapter 11

Geminus Geminus writes  |  more than 7 years ago

Geminus (602334) writes "Yahoo news reports that on Friday the 14th SCO finally filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. SCO CEO Daryl McBride blames Linux. Apparently, NOVELL's impending $25,000,000 award will finally sink this lead laden ship out of existence. Since we all saw it coming, anyone want their money back for buying a SCO license?"

Geminus writes "SCO PR director resigns, joins Omniture — Blake Stowell has resigned from his position as public relations director of the SCO Group to join Omniture Inc. "It was a very difficult decision, but the role of PR for me at SCO has run its course. With the company's ongoing litigation, I was much more limited in what I could do from a PR standpoint," Stowell said."
