Estonian Economist Suggests Abandoning Cash

Hinhule Re:Abandon all your cash (454 comments)

I and as far as I know most of my friends, only use cash if I have no choice and the only businesses that offer no choice around here are entrance fees to bars (bikers run those) and small shops/pizzerias that don't report all their income to our "IRS".

Mystery of the Dying Bees Solved

Hinhule Re:Too bad, do we help them...? (347 comments)

The bigger issue is probably that the bees help plants, I believe flowers in particular, pollenate.

While being without honey would suck there are plenty of other forms of sugar around.

Hawking Picks Physics Over God For Big Bang

Hinhule Re:But what created the law of gravity? (1328 comments)

Why? Because I thought that my observation might make someone smile a little.

I mean have to as in when you say that you are agnostic the "but you have to believe either is right deep down, you just haven't thought about it enough" comes every time followed by a pitch for their belief.

As far as my mental superiority is concerned it is obvious and doesn't need any help making itself known ;)

Hawking Picks Physics Over God For Big Bang

Hinhule Re:But what created the law of gravity? (1328 comments)

As an agnostic I naively thought I wouldn't have to deal with the debate.
Would save a lot of time in which I could concentrate on what actually makes me happy.
I was quite content in not knowing if there is "a god" or whatever until I die.

Turns out all camps are offended I don't pick a side.

Gamer Plays Doom For the First Time

Hinhule Re:Nice (362 comments)

Good old 10-base-2 coax networks. We used to borrow the school cafeteria to host our gaming events.

Always the guy who was super sure his cable was fine who had a broken one. The threats of throwing someone out because he wouldn't stop downloading stuff while the others were trying to play.

Such nice memories! :)

Pentagon Demands Return of Leaked Afghanistan Documents

Hinhule Re:I see a little problem here (523 comments)

Isn't that pretty much what was done to Saddam? Granted he was still president.

Or the old nazis and the Pol Pot gang they are finding.

Now one would have to convince a nation that has control of thousands of nukes to give up one of their previous leaders. That's the tricky part.

Torchlight II Announced For 2011

I had the same experience. I quit when I got bored of playing alone.
Co-op for torchlight 2 gives it much higher potential for me.

Torchlight II Announced For 2011

Hinhule Re:Diablo Clones (85 comments)

As an earlier poster mentioned, it's made by some of the guys who made Diablo 1 & 2.

Either way, fans of the genre will probably get both.

Mozilla Finds Flaw With Black Hat Video Stream

Hinhule Re:responsibility (106 comments)

Most likely they want actual attendees and if it's too cheap to just watch the stream these computer people may just sit and watch it from the comfort of their own mancave instead of showing up.

Judge in The pirate bay case accused of bias

Hinhule Hinhule writes  |  more than 5 years ago

Hinhule (811436) writes "Today the national swedish radio station P3 announced links between the judge in the pirate bay case Tomas Norström and Henrik Pontén, Monique Wadstedt and Peter Danowsky of the prosecution. Apparently the judge is a member of The swedish association of copyright, boardmember of The swedish foundation for industrial copyright and Stiftelsen .SE along with the others.
In reaction to this Rick Falkvinge, somewhat fanatic leader of the Pirate party, has published this delightful rant in which he, among other things, accuses the media industry of bringing corruption to Sweden.
Enjoy."
