Australian Consumer Watchdog Takes Valve To Court

Issarlk Re:Wow (128 comments)

I'm in the exact same situation and hope that Australia shaft Steam deep and hard. I haven't spent a single euro on Steam since, but still got whatever game I was interested in legally and downloadable on Steam. Granted it was mostly indie games, and those always offer Steam code because Steam is admitedly freaking good, despite it's abysmal policies.

South Carolina Student Arrested For "Killing Pet Dinosaur"

Issarlk I thought this only happened in Florida (421 comments)

And as for the kid and his pet dinosaur killing, here's an even more disturbing news: so kids as young as maybe 8 are shooting at each other in pretend cowboy-indian or thief-policeman "games". Time to build more prisons for youngsters.

Experimental Drug Stops Ebola-like Infection

Issarlk Re:Here's What Bugs Me (52 comments)

It can be easilly put to the test. Among the next missionaries would catch ebola, 50% should refuse the ZMap treatment and get to be given an unique chance to show the world that god and prayer are what heal them. Surelly a true believer will be overjoyed by the idea, lots of people would be convinced and convert and be saved by our lord Jesus Christ.

Why would the cartels disaprove anyway? They could even abduct a few engineers to develop their own rocket delivery of drugs into the USA.

NASA Approves Production of Most Powerful Rocket Ever

Issarlk Re:NASA Need New Motive (146 comments)

Not sure it'd work ; too many people starts denying climate change... It would be easier if Martian threatened to sell their oil for Euro or Yuan instead of dollars. The USA military would be there in a couple years top, inventing whatever fable that satisfies the public to justify the war.

What Happens If You Have a Heart Attack In Space?

Issarlk Re:huh (83 comments)

If only they had some sort of airtight full body suit up there in their spaceship. They could put the dead body in it until they can dispose of it. That's really too bad the dozen (hundreds?) of scientists and engineer didn't think about it.

Getting the Most Out of the Space Station (Before It's Too Late)

Issarlk Re:Mother Russia... (155 comments)

Russians scraped their space shuttle equivalent after one flight because they had no use for it (instead of using it, to the cost of untold number of billions $ like the US did). Russians are pragmatic, why would they launch a space station while the ISS is still in orbit?
Besides, they've done it before, remember Mir ?
