Labor Lockout Lingers At Honeywell Nuclear Plant

HF is a "weak acid" because the flourine is so electron-loving that it doesn't want to let go of the e- from the hydrogen, even when in water. Most acids dissociate in water quite freely, it's why they're able to react in the first place. HF is extremely nasty stuff, because flourine is such incredibly nasty stuff. That's a "weak acid" by convention, but it's not really anything you want a decently concentrated solution of left unchecked.

While I can't comment on any of the rest of it. (Yeah, I work for 'em)

I can offer a link to the download.microsoft.com page that pulls it for Vista. (all links are English x86, if you run English x64, you'll be able to navigate the download center by now).

Vista x86: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?Fa milyID=c6ef4735-c7de-46a2-997a-ea58fdfcba63&Displa yLang=en

XP x86: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=22 &p=1&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId= &u=%2Fdownloads%2Fdetails.aspx%3FFamilyID%3D6ccb7e 0d-8f1d-4b97-a397-47bcc8ba3806%26DisplayLang%3Den

Get it, use it!

-- I worked briefly doing part of the steps of release management for this, so it's cool to see that people are enjoying it.

Jonsey (593310) writes "Microsoft announced to employees today their marketing for Windows Vista will include a 70' airship displaying the logo hovering over major cities and around sporting events. The airship is from 21st Century Airships and is one of the first spherical airships in the world. It will be lit with a pleasing blue glow from inside, but the control window of the airship looks like a certain main laser array from a George Lucas space opera. Perhaps now is the time to adopt Vista, before being destroyed?"

The only Current Karma Problem.

Jonsey Jonsey writes  |  more than 11 years ago Funny does not add Karma.

All negative modifiers detract Karma.

If I post something that goes 60% Funny, 40% Overrated on a total of 10 moderations: That means I've lost 4 Karma on a post that many thought was a good gag.

This is not horrible. By any means. But it is annoying.
(The Above are Not Sentences)

I wish I had a way to modify /code so that:

I do not lose Karma from a Funny post. Provided that: I do not get modded down more than I get modded up on Funny

Unfortunately, I do not have the knowledge to change slashcode, though someday I might.

Perhaps, as my first valid Journal entry, we might discuss if this would be acceptable overall?

I'm fine with not getting +Karma for Funny, but the fact I'll still get -Karma for overrated in Re: Funny is annoying.

Or, perhaps we can change so that Mods not subject to M2 affect Karma differently/Are subject to M2 in some way?

Signature Test, Hokey, No?

Jonsey Jonsey writes  |  more than 11 years ago This is a lame post. But I really wanted to check my sig, without making a useless post elsewhere. : )
