Comcast's New Throttling Plan Uses Trigger Conditions, Not Silent Blocking

Burden of proof. These vast claims need hard data to back them up. You can't just assume they're a natural monopoly.

Apple Rejects Nine Inch Nails iPhone App

Jrabbit05 What the fuck (397 comments)

WTF is that shitty summary. "If Nine Inch Nails is having problems with censorship and approval what kind of problems are you having with the iPhone app approval process?" That's the entrance fee to the walled garden of the App Store for iphone/ipod. You trying to subvert apple is just another punch in the face. So they care more about the bigger/popular apps and how they fit their rules. That's kind of their job. It's not free stop expecting it to be.

China Wants UN To Help Trace Sources On Internet

Jrabbit05 Re:"right" ? (303 comments)

1. As usual, some non-American is getting on a high horse despite my post clearly stating its my local view. The US is part of the whole world and in the absense of Happy Unity Total World Government, everyone can feel free to post their local interpretation. No, the UN is not a world government. And most member nations are NOT democracies. And as afraid to complain as the citizens of some countries are (see article for a place called 'China'), Americans are happy to complain loudly enough to make up the difference. 2. Each branch interprets its role according to the rules its own way. One branch complaining another branch is not following the rules needs the third to mediate, not automatic condemnation, regardless of what the news anchors and comedy show hosts may imply.

Score: -2 Stupid American.

Jrabbit05 (943335) writes "WiiHacks has an article over the Wiili project and website. Tuxido, the owner of wiili.org has gone missing with over $450 of donations." "Wiili, a project to get Linux running on the Nintendo Wii Game Console, has been mentioned several times over the last few months on digg.com and Slashdot. Not being able to withstand the influx of traffic, their servers started to give, and the site started going down a lot. Donations were being collected to help pay for a new dedicated server through a service called ChipIn. As of Wednesday of this past week, the wiili server and all of it's files disappeared off the internet. The current status of WiiLi is unknown, the webmaster is gone, the site is down, and nobody knows if he cashed out the donations from ChipIn. He could be sick, on vacation, lost in the woods, taken out back by some thugs from Nintendo, who knows... But for now any attempts to access with wiili website result in a 'Index of /' page with no files in it. If anyone has information on how to find Tuxido, please post to this thread or come to IRC channel: #wiili on irc.freenode.net"
