Supreme Court Rules Cell Phones Can't Be Searched Without a Warrant

Only people trying to hide something worry about this.
How Secret Partners Expand NSA's Surveillance Dragnet
A lot of hipsters and other wannabe "'Murica - haters" are loose and easy with their criticism like so much diarrhea, but the sad fact is that if NSA monitoring saves us from just one more tragedy, then it's worth it.
Amazon Announces 'Fire Phone'
Or the JeffBezosBozoFirePhone... amazing how Amazon misjudged the stupidity of th public so badly. Or did he?
What are those assholes calling themselves - "'ZonHeads" or some crap like that?
Solar Impulse 2 Makes First Flight
Very nice, but I doubt it will make it around the globe. Probably will be shot down depending on which 3rd-worlders it flies over.
4chan Launches '$20 Bug Bounty' After Hackers Ruin moot's Day
Absolutely no good has ever come from that vile cesspool of depravity, although the live, streaming suicide of that Norwegian guy was pretty novel.
WSJ: Americans' Phone Bills Are Going Up
Was on TMOUS for 10 yrs., limited data, shared minutes, initially because it was the best family plan with no roaming charges for about USD 164/4 lines. Then when TMOUS went "no-contract", I actually paid early termination fees for 2 of the lines to go "no contract" and it was well worth it.
Now there are never overage charges, all unlimited text, talk and data (one line for my wife's iPhone has unlimited high-speed data at extra charge), 4 lines for less than USD 120. When my wife got the installment plan to buy an iPhone 5 last year for an extra 20/mo., our bill went up to a little less than we were paying.
So essentially, beside the aforementioned unlimited upgrades, we got an extra unlocked iPhone 5 for my wife for the same amount we were paying previously and when its paid off in 24 mos., our bill will go down 20/month again.
I sure hope no one buys TMOUS because they will nix these crazy pro-consumer plans in a heartbeat.
Not affiliated with T-Mo in any way except as a happy customer.
Target Has Major Credit Card Breach
...financing the hacking (hidden by many layers) to target Target as a form of corporate espionage. Just the bad press alone is worth literally billions in the final run-up to Christmas (and Kwanza, of course) spending.

Plastic Waste Threatens Marine Diversity
In America there are tight regulations of the manufacturing, and transport on top of EPA. When you request a plastic bag, it's clean and it's fate is clean, plus we have profuse kandfill space available that is also tightly managed and regulated.
It is the "emerging" economies led by China and India who dump unregulated waste including heavy metals and other toxins, have dirty-technolgy, and unregulated factories that spew millions of tons of untreated air pollution and who also dump millions of tons of their plastic garbage directly into our oceans.
So you jackass hipsters at Trader Joe's keep using your filthy little burlap bags and thinking that you're making a difference while you turn a blind eye to the ecological atrocities committed by your we-are-the-world brothers.
With Burning Teslas In the News Ford Recalls Almost 140,000 Escapes
Likes Tesla enough to feature one in an episode of 'Two And A Half men", so it must be fabulous to the knuckle-dragging, self-important, pseudo-intellectual, "Big Bang Theory"-watching sluggard hipsters who idolize and follow new-age 'messiahs" such as Obama and Musk.

Samsung Ordered To Pay Apple $290M In Patent Case
The verdict clearly shows that Samsung did capitalize on Apple's enormous investment into R&D and should pay.
North Korea Developing Electromagnetic Pulse Weapons
Let's hope that the US never "achieve(s) democracy." Democracy is mob rule. Our Founding Fathers had the forethought to create a Republic to protect us from tyrants who would fool the public into surrendering their freedom. Oh, wait. We have Obama.
Blockbuster To Close Remaining US Locations
Their horrid business model that started in the early '80s when every corner store, supermarket and chains rented VHS tapes was not only overdue to be marked for death, but also caused wasted resources (driving to Blockbuster to rent, then driving back to return), was usurious (arbitrary, unjust and possibly illegal "late fees") plus they had a shitty selection, anyway with no adult section.

Now reduced to hosting corporate elite crapware traveling circus for Brin and Page's toys. Thanks to SorObama & Co. the great divide is accelerating with a politboro elite and the prole rabble. Between are government employees and petty bureaucrats.
