Should Disney Require its Employees to Be Vaccinated?

Nabeel_co Wow... (1 comments)

In Canada, to attend school as a child, you have to show that you have all your vaccines and they are up to date.

I kinda just assumed that this would be the case elsewhere, and in other establishments too.

I'm astounded at the fact that vaccinations just aren't mandatory everywhere.

Best Cube?

True that.

Although, the G4 was much smaller and more elegant. It also wasn't a fire hazard made out of magnesium. :P

Autonomous Car Ethics: If a Crash Is Unavoidable, What Does It Hit?

Nabeel_co Seems like a false choice. Hit both. Seriously. (800 comments)

This doesn't really make sense to me. What scenario would you have an exclusive OR situation like this?

I would think trying to hit both would be the best way to dissipate the energy less violently, thereby increasing survivability. This is assuming none of the traffic is oncoming.

Apple's Lightning-to-HDMI Dongle Secretly Packed With ARM, Airplay

Nabeel_co Re: Car analogy (392 comments)

I think the key phrase is "when engaged".

Drive an auto, then drive a manual and tell me that you can't feel the difference.

There is a very real difference. Only someone who doesn't drive a manual would try to argue otherwise.

Apple's Lightning-to-HDMI Dongle Secretly Packed With ARM, Airplay

Nabeel_co Re:Car analogy (392 comments)

I wouldn't say it's a silly analogy. The fact of the matter is, the far majority of automatic transmissions in new cars these days are still using a torque converter, and really don't compare in anyway to a manual transmission.

As for the 95% of people who can't shift fast enough, that's why 95% of cars are sold as automatics.
I don't think its a question of skill anyway, I think its a question of willingness of the driver to improve their skills.

Experts Develop 3rd-Party Patch For New Java Zero-Day

Nabeel_co Re:A better idea... (154 comments)

...Your parent was suggesting that uninstalling Java was better than fixing the security hole.

I think that was because he was implying that Java isn't used anywhere enough now a days to warrant it being installed on client systems, for the most part.

Study Finds No Link Between Mobile Phones and Cancer (Again)

Nabeel_co Re:What about the other studies? (150 comments)

Actually, If you look at those studies closely, most of them say that there is no link, just a slight correlation.

Those studies are usually mis quoted, or taken out of context. Assuming they are not bias.

Ontario School Bans Wi-Fi

Nabeel_co Shameful! (287 comments)

This is the single most offensive thing I have ever heard come out of MY public school system. I am ashamed, not only that this is happening in my country, but that this is occurring in my home province, and near my home town.

What detritus, and to think it's coming out of the people who teach our kids.

I can not explain how much this upsets me. Shameful.

Let the witch hunt begin.

Usage Based Billing in Canada a sure thing.

Nabeel_co Nabeel_co writes  |  more than 3 years ago

Nabeel_co (1045054) writes "Usage based billing has become a certainty. It is scheduled to go into effect on March 1st, and Canada's future will suffer. It seems to be obvious to everyone in Canada, except for our government, and the CRTC. Please make your voice heard, and email the CRTC, your local MP or fill out the form on StopTheMeter.ca"
