Future Terror in London - Brain as Prediction Machine
I am quite upset about the bombing in London.
You can see an example of a prediction that is verified by videotape shot by a CBC producer who was then [July 2000] interviewing me for a PBS Frontline doc. The CBC may not be happy with my making this public, but they can sue me if they like. The email is from January 31, 2002. Emphasis is mine:
But that cleared me up to do some new work. David (the exec. prod.) wants to talk to me on Monday about the project on you. The show has moved mostly to one hour pieces and he has some concerns about this piece filling an hour. I went back and watched the interview we did with you in NYC. God there's some amazing stuff in there. Do you know you actually said in July 2000, that the authorities couldn't handle envelopes of anthrax?
I just write a new journal so my mildly offensive last journal goes away. I also should try to stop calling peoples posts "stupid", maybe I should rather call them "clumsy" or "inelegant".

Nice advertisement by Sybase on slashdot, I'm sure they'd attract even more clicks if they changed it a little to:

Miss Liudmila's enthusiasm for bartering
I've been thinking about a distributed bartering system. Different in some ways from paypal and ultima gold.
It is based on puts and calls and encryption(pkc).
I haven't solved yet how to bypass that some users are offline off the internet, but I think there is a workaround(proxies).
I think that system might be a fun ride.
I know you'll say it won't work, but if it doesn't integrate 100% with the monetary system, even better.
I actually find the idea so good that I'd like to keep it to myself, but I thought I'd better make it public on slashdot before someone patents it. It also would be useless without adopters and helpers, maybe on sourceforge(?). I know I need adopters and helpers because my other idea, the rating system, isn't public yet and I'm too complacently satisfied with the way it is.
Still thinking, any ideas ?
OT. on /.: Thanks to all up- and downvoting my trollish and a little ill-tempered reply to a slashdot article. I admit my homepage needs some polish, but it is there so you can see who I am(for contact) and what I did( a museum for my old web pages).
Oddly enough, the plain look of the page the /. article was referring to caused me to get annoyed, so I should understand the A.C. who found my web page annoying.
Trolling, +1 on attract a foe
Probably, by trolling
I hope he hates me for the right reasons, and not because he believes .cum is a real top-level internet domain ;-)
