The Secret Goldman Sachs Tapes

RevSpaminator Re:Total bullshit (201 comments)

I fail to see the bullshit here. Are you saying the tapes are fakes? Please contribute rational statements instead of ad hominem attacks.

FBI Chief: Apple, Google Phone Encryption Perilous

RevSpaminator Re:And thus the balance shifts. (354 comments)

You notice lately how serious security flaws in widely used open source libraries have been exposed lately? Google brought the openSSL issue to light and bash's vulnerability was exposed by RedHat. I wonder if there isn't a new push to lock down the obvious back doors.

FBI Chief: Apple, Google Phone Encryption Perilous

RevSpaminator Re:Forgot some. (354 comments)

I'm pretty sure the Bolsheviks were in there somewhere. Or was it the Martians? (They're all commies too, ya know. Why do you think they call it the RED planet?)

FBI Chief: Apple, Google Phone Encryption Perilous

RevSpaminator Re:Think of the Constitution?! (354 comments)

What are you, some kind of godless communist? Next thing I suppose you'll expect is the right of free speech and free assembly. We spent decades fighting the Bolsheviks just to have a bunch of lilly livered liberals whining about human rights and personal liberty? What is this world coming to?

Once Vehicles Are Connected To the Internet of Things, Who Guards Your Privacy?

RevSpaminator Ever See A Commie Drink A Glass Of Water? (130 comments)

Anyone who believes the government shouldn't be tracking their every move is probably a godless communist and sympathetic with the former Soviet Union.

Google Fiber: No Charge For Peering, No Fast Lanes

RevSpaminator Re:We don't make money from peering or colocation (238 comments)

I'm sure Google is monitoring everything subscribers do on their network but it would be naive to think other providers don't. You just pay less for the privilege. As far as I'm concerned, if Google wants to come to my town I'd gladly volunteer to dig ditches on weekends to help run the cabling. :)

How Many People Does It Take To Colonize Another Star System?

RevSpaminator Re:Or... (392 comments)

So you're saying each of the 100 will have to raise 399 children? Are you crazy? I'm worn out just from one 4 year old.

Sundar Pichai: Android Designed For Openness; Security a Lower Priority

RevSpaminator GPL Compliant? (117 comments)

I'd love to see how Boeing is maintaining GPL compliance with their Android based phone. Does anyone believe they won't make any modifications to the core OS? And how much will the NSA pay for a backdoor?

Phil Zimmerman Launching Secure "Blackphone"

RevSpaminator How Can They Guarantee Privacy? (156 comments)

If device security and privacy came down to just the OS, then Android could be secured by a group of like minded individuals. The problem isn't the OS but the hardware and the firmware that drives it. Android's radio image is proprietary and out of public view. This means there are going to be undetectable processes running on your phone regardless of what OS you load. So unless these guys are building their own chips and writing their own firmware, how can they guarantee privacy?

RevSpaminator Re:Blasphemy (184 comments)

The Lord already took mercy on my soul when my ex-wife moved over 3000 miles away. Then "BoB" Dobbs came along with his pipe and helped me sort out the rest.

RevSpaminator Best Joke In Years (184 comments)

Someone should work out the licensing with the publishers of "Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs" and create a full manuscript. I would buy it and put it right between to my copy of Principia Discorida and The Book Of The Subgenius.
