The Avengers: Why Pirates Failed To Prevent a Box Office Record

SebaSOFT Re:Pirated and still paid for tickets (663 comments)

True, I really don't get the "Pirates failed...." argument of the OP. It sustains that the piracy scene is activelly trying to prevent people to go to the cinema.

Ask Slashdot: How To Feed Africa?

SebaSOFT Just what we need... (592 comments)

we feed Africa by growing more food. Don't we have that already? Food distriution is the problem here. Look at your trash can, see how much food you ate that overpasses what you really need. I guess Malawi Government is trying that approach because no other country wouild actually help in the way they need. Other than experiments with chemicals, medicine and what not. Africa's problem is that is the back(grave)yard of the rest of the world.

Apple Unveils Software To Reinvent the Textbook

SebaSOFT Re:I don't see a problem with this arrangement. (416 comments)

Are you serious? Can you assure every student in america will carry an iPad just for the sake of this? Can you tell for sure that even rural schools and home schools will have access to iPads and the format will be open and free to lend textbooks to neighbors and relatives without having to lend the entire iPad thing?

The Challenges of Building a Mars Base

SebaSOFT Re:That design has flaws... (228 comments)

Intresting about the pressure, but still the airlock looks like a pretty small chamber for the door and astronaut. Still lots of stuff could be better, including not having external access at all (underground stuff) and only have sunlight to enter to the sungarden.

The Challenges of Building a Mars Base

SebaSOFT That design has flaws... (228 comments)

like the airlock opening inwards and the waste in weight and energy that is having an elevator in the middle of the dome, some stair would do just fine!

Interpol Issues Wanted Notice For Julian Assange

SebaSOFT Killing the messenger (1020 comments)

Why is everyone behind Julian. I see news reporters and people after him but he's just the messenger of the mistakes and careless actions of other beings/institutions. I've even saw articles telling that FBI and other bureaus will tighten their security. It's not about hiding that you are a bastard, it should be about not being a bastard in the first place.

BTW, this is not off-topic, because this type of articles seems to be part of a de-prestige campaign to a man with it's website.

MGM and Warner Near On Deal For Hobbit Films

SebaSOFT Re:Peter jackson... (222 comments)

Neither of those chapters contribute to the story as a whole. Remember that (in the movies) Saruman died at Isengard, so the episode of the Shire wouldn't make sense. Also Tom Bombadil IMHO doesn't make sense with the darkish setting of the story.

There is no word on the cross-platform compatibility in the Silverlight specification. That sounds like the author gave Silverlight more stars than it has.
