Skynet (37427) writes "The Wall Street Journal is reporting on a recent discovery of a large global hacking effort. It was discovered January 26 by security firm NetWitness, affecting nearly 2500 computers over an 18 month span. The effort is still in operation and includes compromises at many large companies and government agencies. Vast amounts of personal information and corporate secrets were exposed."
