Meat Makes Our Planet Thirsty

amalcolm Re:Shill (545 comments)

I don't expect everyone to share my opinion. Where did I say that? My opinion is however, and I can and will defend this, is that there is so much more to food, flavors, cuisine and eating than a simple steak. To deny that is to deny centuries of culinary tradition and excellence. If you look, or taste, beyond the obvious, you may find the experience rewarding.

Child Porn Arrest For Cameron Aide Who Helped Plan UK Net Filters

amalcolm Re:Just proves the anticensorship case. (205 comments)

Not suggesting that is should not be taught. I was responding to the question, why is is considered more dangerous. Those reasons make it MORE important that these subjects are taught, more so than climbing trees.

Doesn't your selective application of the law make you as bad as any criminal? The law is, in theory, decided by all of us, so you don't get to pick and choose, IMHO

Security Vendors Self-Censor Target Breach Details

amalcolm Re:Your data is in everyone else's hands (115 comments)

I suspect LT will not do NFC because Oyster is better for them. They get positive cash flow from the money you load onto the Oyster card. As an occasional Oyster card with a £60 balance, LT has my £60 until I use it (which might be never!)

Apple Devices To Reach Parity With Windows PCs In 2014

I'd don't agree with the point about laptops. Every office window I stare into (London and south east England, including the city), I see rows of desktops, many with dual screens. YMMV
