Javascript Game of Tron In 226 Bytes

balbord Stupid? (115 comments)

Has all of /. gone stupid?
Sure it's a lame name for the "project", and it's barely playable, and doesn't work in all browsers... but is a freaking awesome piece of code and all I read here is childish whining. Go back to facebook.

What happened to /.?

balbord user: You gave me a bad password!!! (126 comments)

me: Bad password? I don't give away bad passwords. Not unintentionally, that is. What password are you using?
user:I'm using the password you sent me! is: generic2011
me: what? Are you sure? It starts with an 'i' and an 's' and it has a ':'?
user: yeah.
me: So when I wrote down "Your password is: generic2011" you decided that "is: " was part of the password?
user: Well, Isn't it?

Hmmm. I thought Lzip was no more! Kudos for a unexpected development! Can't wait for hardware enabled >99.9% compression!

Hope they've ironed out the decompression bugs, though.

Astronomers Find Largest Known Extraterrestrial Water Reserve

balbord Re:Giant Space Ocean? (183 comments)

Had that same discussion the other day. Some guy was blagging about that redshift in the direction of the center of the universe was proof of expansion of the galaxy.

Luckily there was gin and tonic in the vicinities so I was able to keep up appearances.
