A Geek Funeral

chubs730 Re:Do we need the anti-smoking jab (479 comments)

Homicide is illegal in most countries.

We should legalize it, tax it, and spend all the money earned towards an anti-homicide campaign.

A Secure OS For the Dalai Lama?

chubs730 Re:Diversify! (470 comments)

Open Solaris isn't mature as a desktop OS, it doesn't pop into everybody's mind immediately. If it was as widely used as Linux, or had the proven track record of OpentBSD, it might have been mentioned. For now it's relegated to relative obscurity. Hopefully this will change in the next few years, it's always good to have a little more competition.

Obama Proposes High-Speed Rail System For the US

chubs730 Re:give us wifi (1385 comments)

The commuter rail in Massachusetts has wifi, and is one reason my brother is moving to Boston. An hour of telecommuting before you get to work every day can be a huge draw for people.

Obama Proposes High-Speed Rail System For the US

chubs730 Re:Cost (1385 comments)

Megabus can be as cheap as a dollar, and I find it's usually 7-9 dollars if you get it a week in advance. It goes to Hartford too, which is convenient (at least for me). Their buses also have free wifi.

Wow. Unless you're referring to unprescribed prescription drugs, then your dealer really has it together. Or he is out of his mind.

Press Favored Obama Throughout Campaign

chubs730 Re:I wouldn't know (1601 comments)

Thanks for letting us know that you don't watch TV. I can sleep well knowing you have nothing to contribute to the discussion. I would appreciate it if you made a post in every story on a subject you have limited knowledge of, so that I don't get too excited about your insight.

EA Forum Ban Will Now Mean EA Game Ban

chubs730 Re:Mod parent up - this is relevant! (549 comments)

Why is this modded insightful? Sheep aren't even considered citizens. They don't wear pants. They can't carry money. Maybe they could barter with wool if we weren't shearing them all the goddamn time. I don't even think sheep are playable characters in the Sims, what business would they have playing it?

He'll probably make it if you've watched his videos.

SanDisk, Music Publishers Push DRM-free SlotMusic Format

chubs730 Re:not at all (368 comments)

I bet you even consider yourself an audiophile. Buy a good pair of speakers, get your thousand dollar cable, still a terrible sound? You didn't buy the most important part. While their knobs have been discontinued; it appears that Arbelos now sells similar pieces of wood for the same price as the ever important Wood Lenses!

Super Smash Bros. Music Piano/Vibraphone Medley

chubs730 chubs730 writes  |  more than 6 years ago

chubs730 writes "This is a fine medley of Super Smash Bros. music at a recent Jazz Concert. 5 themes from the original N64 classic are performed entirely by two musicians (vibraphone, piano) live. Definitely something to psyche you up for the increasingly delayed release of Brawl."
