Jesse Jackson: Tech Diversity Is Next Civil Rights Step

craigminah Re:RACIST! (491 comments)

That's a good point but why are these jobs going offshore? Is it because we can't do the jobs or is it because they can get the job done for less pay? Probably a combination of the two.

Jesse Jackson: Tech Diversity Is Next Civil Rights Step

craigminah Re:RACIST! (491 comments)

Likewise, tech doesn't attract young black men and women because studying math, science, tech, and computers in school isn't cool. We need to make it cool so everyone gets an education worth a dam in our country. Until then, placing minorities in positions because they're a minority is doing a disservice to those who actually study and do well in school and it puts underqualified people in positions which weakens our tech fields. It all goes back to families then schools,

States That Raised Minimum Wage See No Slow-Down In Job Growth

...and that money taken from McDonalds will result in higher prices at McDonald's making everyone's earnings seem less driving wage increases, ad infinitum,.

States That Raised Minimum Wage See No Slow-Down In Job Growth

craigminah Short-Lived? (778 comments)

I bet jobs growth has increased because the delta between minimum wage in those regions and unemployment is great enough to motivate folks to get jobs. This will stabilize in a short time and I think jobs growth will stall and stagnate.

Obama Administration Says the World's Servers Are Ours

craigminah Re: Maybe, maybe not. (749 comments)

If this does hold up, and Microsoft releases the data stored in another country (which is ludicrous), then how long will it take for every other country in the world to buy equipment from a non-American or solely domestic company? This may backfire...like most of our administration's policies...

craigminah Re:Warranty (187 comments)

I commented on the fact the previous post to mine used little logic and instead referred to those "inbred morons who can't read do that in a nonunion Kansas plant." Seems like that AC is a pro-union bigot. Aay questions?

You seem more than a little biased...and not particularly intelligent.

California Whooping Cough Cases "an Epidemic"

craigminah Re:Mexico Vaccinates Better Than The US (387 comments)

Almost everyone and everything should pay at least a little into the system so they appreciate the day they withdraw (if ever) from it. No skin in the game means people/companies don't give a crap and will take all they can.

I don't like Google, Apple, or any other company paying at least some taxes. Of course, the State/Federal government most likely gave them that tax break to pull them to their state but that needs to be minimized.

California Whooping Cough Cases "an Epidemic"

craigminah Re:Mexico Vaccinates Better Than The US (387 comments)

It's not xeophobia, I have an aversion to people taking from our country and giving nothing back. Whether they be legal or illegal it doesn't matter but the fact the US Government is essentially doing nothing and protecting them makes me a little upset as we are so far in debt how can we pay for so many free loaders? The sarcasm tag wasn't meant to undo anything, it was simply there to make sure nobody thought I was being serious when I called the other poster a genius and finally, stating something is a "pro tip" usually means you're just someone else posting things using emotion to guide their actions rather than logic.

craigminah Re:Mexico Vaccinates Better Than The US (387 comments)

Wow, so much hatred. The US Government has declared the requirement for voters to have ID cards is discriminatory. A lot of the illegal immigrants benefit from the ludicrous Democratic policies (e.g. no border protection, anchor babies, free medical, free school, etc.) so they tend to vote Democrat. You are obviously a mental giant due to the genius you wrote in your reply [/sarcasm] Democrats/Liberals can never hold a civil argument and almost always resort to name calling and poop-throwing.

MIT Used Lobbying, Influence To Restore Nuclear Fusion Dream

craigminah Re:MIT sure has fallen far (135 comments)

I understand the Constitution, thanks, but filing a petition isn't the same as having lobbyists go to DC to skew policy to benefit themselves, their company, or their line of business...it's to petition to do something while showing the good it can bestow. Read Animal Farm and see how things devolve from doing things for noble reasons to doing things for personal gain (e.g. where we're at in DC).

MIT Used Lobbying, Influence To Restore Nuclear Fusion Dream

craigminah Re:MIT sure has fallen far (135 comments)

As an American i take offense, yet the entire concept of lobbying for anything is idiotic...let politicians decide on what's best for their constituents, not who will give them the most money or kickbacks.

Use prisoners to make those signs...sure, there will be shank-shaped pieces missing, but it'll be cheap and will help control the prison population.
