That is true, however Slashdot's advertisements are relatively noninvasive, and (somewhat) relivent. (dice anyone?) Digg conversely has those damn annoying auto playing flash and and blinking ads. If I had to view one sites advertisements over another, I would pick Slashdot's.

I would really like projects like Tor, and I2P to get more support. Even the United States has problems with net filtering and network shaping. I just keep my /home on a separate partition. This frees up my main Linux / partition free for all the reinstall(s) or reformatting I can handle. Also, I have my /home partition backed up every 2 weeks or so, depending on how much data throughput it has experienced.
