All the US dual core S3's are the same. Except Verizon locked the bootloader. Otherwise the only difference is the network branding.

Judge Orders Hundreds of Websites Delisted From Search Engines, Social Networks

cslax Re:For non US-filtered search results (308 comments)

The point is that there is no prior case law specifically prohibiting them from doing this. Until communication on the Internet is afforded the same rights as print and speech, there is no reason that ICE, etc. cannot demand a site be removed in this same manner for whatever reason they choose.

Judge Orders Hundreds of Websites Delisted From Search Engines, Social Networks

cslax Re:For non US-filtered search results (308 comments)

That's irrelevant to the general problem. Yes, they are counterfeit goods in this case, but this country LOVES precedent. But where does it stop? Can I bring down a website because it is opposite to the views of Congress? If this is going to be continued, there needs to be strict legal guidelines to prevent abuse of power from ANY power. This is what is worrisome.

Ask Slashdot: Web Site Editing Software For the Long Haul?

cslax Re:Notepad (545 comments)

Seconded, TextMate is amazing, and if you learn all its KB shortcuts, it can be very efficient. At that point you really might as well learn emacs/vi but that's neither here nor there.

Google Is Introducing the +1 Button

cslax Re:Please have a -1 Button (218 comments)

Call it an "acknowledgement" and have Like/ Dislike.

"John Doe and George Washington acknowledged your status update." And then it shows the thumb up/ thumb down icons with numbers next to it.

Also, the UI needs to be consistent. If enter publishes your post in response to status replies, it should also publish on status updates. Messages cannot be reneged so enter should only be a new line in there. But all replies to things and anything else that can be x'ed and removed should behave the same way.

Sell Someone Else's Book On Lulu!

Seconded. Larson handles many things much better. For example, LIATE for integration by parts or pretty much any of the parametric integration. When I TA I regularly will give Larson problems over Stewart problems.
