Face Masks Provide Chinese With False Hope Against Pollution

floodo1 Re:When I was working near asbestos (156 comments)

Sorry that your companies safety policies didn't expose you to the concept of respirator fit-testing. When I was working near asbestos, or even potentially near asbestos (unknown attics) we were required to get fit-tested for our respirators. Whose anecdote wins?

Google Funds San Francisco Bus Rides For Poor

floodo1 Re:I don't get it. (362 comments)

Environmentally friendly is when Google employees don't live in SF and work in Mountain View a few dozen miles away. THAT is the core issue here.

Tesla Model S Caught Fire While Parked and Unplugged

floodo1 Re:-_- (329 comments)

It is absolutely ridiculous to avoid parking your car in the garage for fear of it catching on fire while in the garage. The odds of that happening are tiny.

A Look Inside the 8K Theater Technology At the Newly Renovated Fiske Planetarium

floodo1 Re:This makes me sad. (44 comments)

Erase the hate. Not everyone shares your nostalgia. I for one welcome the 48000 pixels they are throwing up there. Hard to argue that they should have stuck with the 3000 star awesome looking "star generator" instead of the new 2000000 star generator that they have in addition to all those 8k projectors.

Kernel Dev Tells Linus Torvalds To Stop Using Abusive Language

floodo1 Re:not someone new (1501 comments)

Overblown is the word that came to mind when I read their jokes about how the only way to be successful is to yell then see her response about how they are threatening people. Actually, a phrase came to mind: WHAT THE FUCK? Then she blathers on about "professionalism"? At least Linus kept it funny with his remark about being in his home office in his bath robe!! And really awesome that Linus expounds the view that organizing around individual quirks and natural "fits" is the key to success!!

seems like all anyone wants to mod up are funny posts, and truly useful posts. no room for +2 posts that are peoples comments.

post your opinion and you're likely headed for 0 or -1 :(

floodo1 floodo1 writes  |  more than 11 years ago damn slashdot pisses me off sometimes. people seem to think that my posts are troll like just because i say things like "booo bluetooth".
