You've Got Male: Amazon's Growth Impacting Seattle Dating Scene

gangien Re:Which one? (315 comments)

As a single male living around seattle. Seattle obviously.

- San Fran/cali drivers are are assholes
- In seattle, you can live in downtown and walk everywhere, or still have a decent commute in the suburbs. outside of downtown, Seattle has plenty of parking. In Downtown Seattle, it's sitll better than San Fran.
- Housing prices. Seattle's not cheap, but it's that high compared to other larger metropolitan areas.
- San Fran gets better points on weather.

Basically, Seattle > San Fran.

Bitcoin Exchange CEO Charlie Shrem Arrested On Money Laundering Charge

gangien Re:I was wondering when that would happen (330 comments)

There is quite a difference between something being counter intuitive and being bullshit.

And maybe one day you'll learn having a good bullshit detector will get you through so much of life.

Bitcoin Exchange CEO Charlie Shrem Arrested On Money Laundering Charge

gangien Re:I was wondering when that would happen (330 comments)

Bitcoin can not be stopped.

Is this where I'm supposed to laugh?

Will bitcoin last? I have zero clue. But the amount of absolutes I see used by people describing bitcoin and how it works, makes my bullshit detector go off.

Ask Slashdot: How Can I Improve My Memory For Study?

gangien Re:Sleep study (384 comments)

While I understand your point, the whole "why remember something I can look up in a book" thing.

Being able to remember stuff is incredibly useful. From simply remembering a schedule (which can be complicated) to remembering how you solved another problem.

NRA Joins ACLU Lawsuit Against NSA

gangien Re:This just in: (531 comments)

they aren't after your stupid guns

I guess you weren't paying attention this last year.

Obama I believe just signed an executive order which, affects exported/imported firearms. You are being naive, they are constantly after all of our rights, including our 2nd amendment.

PS "they" isn't any specific group or person. It is our government and society at large.

So if we put them in charge of making sure everyone plays fair on the internet you don't think they'd abuse it? lol. Here when they have no such authority, are already abusing it.
