5 Million Gmail Passwords Leaked, Google Says No Evidence Of Compromise

i ate my neighbour Re:How do we actually know? (203 comments)

A sketchy service called isleaked.com allows you to query. I queried my email, and it replied "the first two characters of your password is ...." which was correct. However, it was not my gmail password, but a password I use in my unimportant accounts.

Samsung Galaxy Note devices have decent "smart pen"s that can interact with precision. Such a shame that their devices come with awfully bloated crapware.

Intel Dev: GTK's Biggest Problem, and What Qt Does Better

i ate my neighbour GTK+ is a C library (282 comments)

The only reason to use it now is if for some reason you want to avoid C++ and develop in pure C.

The Second Operating System Hiding In Every Mobile Phone

i ate my neighbour Re: All the other OS, too. (352 comments)

I don't know how functional, but there are 2 free firmwares being discussed and used(by a few people) in the OpenMoko community. Apparently it is illegal to use a non-approved baseband firmware on public networks.

Thousands Marched Against Censorship

i ate my neighbour Re:At least they're up-front about it (131 comments)

Actually, it currently works in a similar way here. The Information and Communications Technologies Authority(BTK) orders ISPs to block lots of websites without declaring any reason. The fact that the "Law regarding crimes committed on the Internet" (indirectly) requires the websites to prove their innocence, while they can be taken down without notice.

They screwed up big two weeks ago when they tried to take down a list of websites including the most popular domestic social portal, which has enough cashflow to defend itself and enough influence to organize such an event.

The website itself is strictly text only(besides a couple of logos) and strictly moderated against illegal content. The reason was child porn, and then BTK declared that the portal was added to the list by mistake, but for some reason the whole order got cancelled after the reactions.

I don't know about Hebrew, but in some languages the names Sweden and are Similar. They are "Isvec" and "Isvicre" in Turkish. Kind of like Australia and Austria. A common mistake the kids(and sometimes adults) make.
