Why Do We Name Servers the Way We Do?

Has enough for a good size network, and there is enough other information available and known. For example you can make a range of computers and the services based on element type, class, etc. Make the noble gasses firewalls, and the metals servers for example.

This is kind of a BS argument, in that other than the kernel what is different between the two? Both Linux and Opensolaris run the same open source desktop, and applications.

Hold a fancy formal dinner each year. So that the wife/so can get dressed up and party. Have previous years winners also attend.

The company I did some work for, does this, and it is looked forward to all year by the engineering crowd, the usual recepients. Of course, being a large fortune 500 firm, they had lots of patents and people involved.

It was like another mark of achievement, making it into the patent ball.
