Why Women Have No Time For Wikipedia

kick6 Women crave Feedback (571 comments)

I don't think gamification is the answer as women, while being social, are interested in attention. Not sure how a woman can garner attention for herself while editing an article about Uganda...especially anonymously as wikipedia handles it.

Why Women Have No Time For Wikipedia

kick6 it's the anonymity (571 comments)

Women, as a generality, are much more concerned about garnering attention for themselves. Hence, massive selfie collections and statuses that beg their friends to ask "what's wrong?" Wikipedia is all about others. It just doesn't appeal to women, and only an egalitarian equalist (aka reality denier) would find issue with that.

kick6 Just tell them (1225 comments)

Come on, we all know why it is. Just fucking tell them. Tell them that it's their first instinct because they don't want to believe that they could be part of the problem,

Or...or....people are just fucking tired of EVERYTHING having to be about narrative/progress/social justice, and we just want people who have made their lives about such things to get some kind of new hobby/career, and stop destroying everything in the name of ideology.

kick6 Re:Just proves the point (1225 comments)

TIL: life is who buys games, and not men. I guess all that market research gaming companies do that says x genre and y style of game predominantly is purchased by men is out the window, and instead of targetting an audience you should make everything ever accessible to everyone ever because potato. God I hope the gaming industry DOESN'T think like otherwise, we'll have a whole host of shitty games like Depression Quest instead of games that people actually want to buy.

That's how games get released with no female character options, or female NPC's with redonkulous boobs, because the guys making the game just never put in a second to think "how will women, who are a huge factor in life, think about this".

kick6 Re:Just proves the point (1225 comments)

Your sarcasm further proves his point: Leftoids want to use negatively connotated labels like "racist," "sexist," and....drumroll..."bigot" to silence even the POSSIBILITY of rational/logical discussion. In your(there) rhetoric, labelling your argument opponent with one of these somehow means that you win by default; That someone you can stamp with one of these labels can't even add 2+2 anymore, and is therefore not worth the words; That there's absolutely no rationality, no science, no studies, no statistics, that could possibly support any of these bad "isms" and that anyone who subscribes to them (or anyone the leftoid can snap-label as associating with them...which violates two core components of the liberal platform: tolerance and non-judgementalism) has to be so feces-flinging, glass licking insane that they're not even human anymore. And the disgusting part is: since you now comprise the have enough cheerleaders in any sufficiently large group that you've internalized this process as sensible and honest.

kick6 Apparently the trolls are out here, too (1225 comments)

And of course they are all posting as "Anonymous Coward."

But of course. No one wants to risk getting Eich'ed or doxxed because they don't toe the SJW/leftoid/women-as-perpetual-victim line. And yes...I'm posting this with my username. I'm sure some extremist feminist will dox me as has been seen to be the "best defense is a good offense" approach to dealing with said transgressions in the Zoe Quinn case.

Climate Damage 'Irreversible' According Leaked Climate Report

kick6 Leaked? (530 comments)

Really? Climate change groups have secret reports that need to be leaked because people are just DYING to get the details? Something about this concept seems...well complete bullshit.

Why is it that sexism is only banned in one direction? Women are allowed to shit all over men, and men are just supposed to "man up and take it." Equality my ass...

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor Launches Nov. 13th

kick6 Re:In b4 hipsters (146 comments)

it's just the same thing over and over. Down raid bosses to get the best gear, wait till next patch and start over again. I just got bored of it. Sadly FF14 is turning out like that as well so I even stopped playing that

In other words: you just don't like MMORPGs.

Verizon Throttles Data To "Provide Incentive To Limit Usage"

kick6 that word... (316 comments)

I do not think it means what you think it means. Throttling is a DISincentive to continue to use. Offering a discount for moderate consumption is an incentive.

The Daily Harassment of Women In the Game Industry

kick6 nothing to see here (962 comments)

Woman works in indsutry were ridiculous threats of grotesque violence are the norm...over teamspeak, over chat, on forums...everywhere. Woman thinks this "abuse" is special...because she's a woman. Special rules need to be made to stop the abuse that her solipsism has convinced her only happen to her (and by extension only women).

So basically it's the same shtick: women want equality except for when it's in a woman's interest (in this case preserving her ego) for women to be legislated superiority.

The sad part isn't that abuse happens, the sad part is that we keep lining up to give women special privileges because they're the "weaker sex" all while attempting to champion the cause of equality.

I can confirm. It chokes hard on any of my DTS audio'ed recordings.

Watch Dogs Graphics and Gameplay: PC Vs. Xbox One, With Surprising Results

kick6 Re:Unless you've spent $300 on a GPU... (210 comments)

I have a gaming PC that actually runs Linux (ie. Fedora) as my primary and only OS

Not many people are stupid enough to explicitly choose an unsupported OS to use on their dedicated gaming box. You are the absolute tale end of the bell curve, and I question your sanity for making this choice. At the very least, you're a sadist.

Oklahoma's Earthquakes Linked To Fracking

kick6 Re: Okay, so this has what to do with fracking the (154 comments)

So what this has to do with fracking is that they thought that just pumping fluid back in would hold things up, but clearly that's not true.

That's not at all how it works. The fluid exists to create hydraulic pressure. They put sand or tiny ceramic balls in the water to fill the voids created by the fractures to "hold things up."

This article relates to what they do with all the water after it returns to surface. They go find another well that doesn't produce anymore (or drill a new one into a non-producing zone) and pump the water in. HOWEVER, salt water disposal (SWD) is an operation that has been going on for decades. It's not new or unique to fracturing in the slightest making this article just more incorrect bullshit, and your post only adds to that. Please stop posting if you don't know what you're talking about as this only adds to the incorrect info that surrounds this issue.
