Tesla Aims For $30,000 Price, 2017 Launch For Model E

mojo-raisin Re:The main problem with all elec (247 comments)

Umm. No.

I drive a all electric Nissan Leaf, and I don't even have a garage. I have outlets on the outside of my house, and the Leaf charging cable is prob at least 15 ft long.

I charge at night with no garage.

Toyota's Fuel Cell Car To Launch In Japan Next March

mojo-raisin Re:ADI (216 comments)

I've been driving a Leaf for a month, and I agree. I *never* wait to refuel. I just plug in at night. It's so civilized.

mojo-raisin Hydrogen Refueling Map? (216 comments)

Could I get a map of hydrogen refueling stations?

I want to plan all of my driving to remain at least a quarter mile away from those things.

One big "boom," and no one will ever drive these things again.

Are US Hybrid Sales Peaking Already?

mojo-raisin Re:Why would I buy a Prius (377 comments)

Your opinion is just that. Your opinion :)

And quite different from my opinion :)

I drove a sport A4 with a "engine," "transmission," and all that fun stuff.

Now I drive a Nissan Leaf, and find the low speed torque, and the ability to concentrate on just speed and driving to be way more fun that a loud, dangerous, and inelegant ICE.

Also, ICE produce lots of deadly fumes. I can sit in my "idling" Leaf. You can't sit in your idling ICE/death box. :)

Great choice. I have a j-frame and a glock. The j-frame is my preferred carry for the same reason you gave.

Having a gun fail is bad.

We have a Right to functioning guns and "wish[es] to avoid is for something bad" are irrelevant. I always want my semis to work. Always. What someone else wishes is up to them.

Mercedes Pooh-Poohs Tesla, Says It Has "Limited Potential"

mojo-raisin Re:Switching from Mercedes to Tesla after $12K bil (360 comments)

Ha. That really rocks.

I'm saving up for a cheaper Tesla model (or used Model S) in 2017. If my Audi makes it that long. The automatic transmission sometimes forgets which gear it's in, and can't shift anymore. As Teslas are single gear-direct drive, they don't have that problem.

Congrats!

What If the Next Presidential Limo Was a Tesla?

mojo-raisin Re:Armor (330 comments)

The battery is actually double platted with metal that is quite protective.

There is no car with a better safety score than the Model S. The Model X could be far superior with minor modes compared to any Caddy.
